STRONG AYA General Assembly Meeting – March 2026

On 5 March 2026, the STRONG AYA consortium met online for its General Assembly. During the meeting, partners reflected on the progress made since the previous General Assembly in Paris in October 2025. It was a valuable opportunity to share updates, exchange ideas, and align on the next steps for the project.

What’s next?

In the coming months, the consortium will focus on implementing and evaluating the Core Outcome Set (COS) for adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer across participating centres in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Poland. Through the COS, we collect patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) on the care and quality of life for AYAs with cancer.

A substantial amount of data has already been integrated into the STRONG AYA federated infrastructure. This includes both retrospective (existing) and prospective (new) data, with retrospective data from more than 23,000 AYAs included to date. We will analyse these data within the federated infrastructure while continuing to expand the datasets.

Alongside these activities, STRONG AYA will continue to engage closely with key stakeholders—including AYAs, healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers—to maximise the long-term impact and sustainability of the project beyond its duration.
