Two new datasets successfully connected to STRONG-AYA infrastructure

Following the first STRONG-AYA federation run at the start of this month, the STRONG-AYA infrastructure continues to expand quickly. Yesterday, two more major datasets were successfully integrated: The CLB dataset and the Sex-Health study data from the Maria Sklodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology are fully connected, semantically interoperable, and have already returned first summarised results on age at initial diagnosis and year of diagnosis.

The CLB dataset adds records from over 3,000 adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer patients, diagnosed between 2002 and 2025, and brings one of the most detailed clinical and treatment datasets into the STRONG-AYA ecosystem to date. The achieved conversion of the Sex-Health study data marks another important step as the first dataset in STRONG-AYA to include patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs), covering more than 200 AYA cancer survivors.

In the coming weeks, more variables will be made interoperable and available for analysis.
